Grenergy has reached financial closure for the initial phases of its ambitious Oasis de Atacama project in Chile. The $1.4 billion solar-plus-storage project will feature 1 GW of solar capacity and 4.1 GWh of energy storage, spread across five phases. The first connection is expected by the end of 2024, with further phases rolling out in 2025. A long-term PPA for 260 MW of solar and 220 MW of storage has been signed, ensuring the project’s viability. This initiative will provide renewable energy to over 145,000 homes.
