US-based technology giant Google has announced a partnership with India-based Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions (CleanMax), a Brookfield-backed renewable energy and net-zero solutions leader for the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector. According to Google, the collaboration involves the development of a 125.4 MW hybrid project comprising 66 MW of solar in Rajasthan and 59.4 MW of wind in Karnataka. The projects will be integrated into India’s national grid, supporting Google’s goal of achieving 24/7 carbon-free energy for its cloud services and offices in India by 2030. CleanMax claims these installations will begin commercial operations in Q4 2025 and generate 350 million kWh annually, cutting CO2 emissions by 250,000 tons—equivalent to planting 14.7 million trees.
