Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. has introduced the HPnC Series, a new line of large-capacity industrial IGBT modules designed for power converters in solar and wind power systems. These modules aim to reduce power generation costs by improving capacity and supporting higher voltage power converters up to 1,500 VDC. The HPnC Series features an industry-leading rated current of 1,800 A, achieved through the utilization of the latest IGBT chips and optimized internal layouts. This enhancement is expected to reduce power converter numbers, expanding solar panel areas and enhancing generation efficiency. Additionally, the modules offer a 2,300 V breakdown voltage, simplifying power converter setups and reducing component requirements in renewable energy systems.
