First Solar panels light up Intersect’s 828 MW solar project

Intersect Power’s Lumina Solar project in Scurry County, TX, commenced commercial operations on January 3, 2024, generating 828 MW of solar energy. The project, using First Solar panels, employed over 900 workers with a commitment to fair compensation. Renewable Energy Credits will be bought by two Fortune 100 companies. Funding, secured in September, involved portfolio-level term debt, tax equity, and construction financing from major financial institutions, including HPS Investment Partners, U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance, MUFG, Santander, CoBank, KeyBanc, Bank of America, Helaba, and Nord/LB.
