US-based ESA, a solar and energy storage developer, achieved significant milestones in Virginia’s community solar market in 2024. The company began construction on three solar projects totaling 14 MW in Halifax and Lunenburg counties. It also secured land use approvals for an additional 10 MW and was awarded 11.5 MW of Shared Solar capacity in Dominion Energy’s territory. Additionally, ESA contributed $43,000 in community impact grants to six communities, supporting initiatives such as food accessibility, education, and local services. Looking ahead to 2025, ESA plans to expand its development pipeline and strengthen community partnerships, with a focus on energy security and rural economic growth.
