ERG SpA, an Italy-based renewable energy company, has launched its fourth ‘Social Purpose for Solar Revamping’ initiative at the ETS Foundation’s headquarters Dynamo Camp in Limestre, Pistoia, as part of its ESG Plan. According to ERG, the project aims to extend the life of second-hand PV panels from its Apulia solar farms, installing them in projects across Italy and Africa. In collaboration with Switzerland-based MSC Foundation and Italy’s KME, an 84 kW solar plant was installed on 1,800 square meters of parking rooftops, offering 66 parking spaces. The system, featuring 400 PV modules of 210 W each, is connected to the grid. ERG claims the plant will generate up to 100,000 kWh annually, supporting Dynamo Camp’s energy needs. Six electric vehicle charging stations are also planned onsite.
