Equinix Partners with Sonnedix for solar PPA in Portugal

Sonnedix and Equinix sign a 10-year PPA for renewable energy in Portugal. Equinix will source power from Sonnedix’s 149MW Douro solar project starting July 2025. The project, Sonnedix’s largest in Europe, will power 78,000 homes, reducing 33,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. Equinix received transaction support from Schneider Electric and Holland & Knight.
