Enlight Renewable Energy, based in Israel, has launched commercial operations at its largest project, the Atrisco Solar & Energy Storage complex near Albuquerque, New Mexico. Developed by its U.S. subsidiary, Clenera, the project features a 364 MW solar facility and a 1.2 GWh storage system. According to Enlight, the $827 million solar array will soon be fully operational, while the storage system is set to be completed by year-end. The clean energy produced will supply the annual electricity needs of 110,000 New Mexico households. The Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) will purchase the power under a 20-year agreement. The project involves solar panels provided by Runergy, trackers by Array Technologies, and the energy storage system by Tesla. RES Americas, a subsidiary of RES Group, handles engineering and construction, while Miller Brothers will manage operations and maintenance.
