France-headquartered ENGIE signed a PPA with Al Jouf Cement Company to develop a 22 MW solar PV plant at its Turaif facility in Saudi Arabia. Spanning 420,000 square meters, the plant was designed to generate on-site power and cut carbon emissions by 1,481,100 tons over 25 years. The project supported Saudi Vision 2030 by advancing industrial decarbonization, with ENGIE managing development, operation, and maintenance, and Al Jouf Cement purchasing the electricity output at a fixed rate.
