Enel North America, a US-based energy company, has launched the 326 MWdc Stampede solar-plus-storage project in Hopkins County, Texas. According to Enel, Switzerland-based Nestlé is the sole tax equity investor and will acquire all renewable energy attributes from the project. The Stampede project, which began generating power in June 2024, features bifacial PV panels and an 86 MWdc battery storage system, currently in final commissioning. The project is expected to generate over $70 million in tax revenue and landowner payments throughout its life. Nestlé’s renewable energy purchase, estimated at over 522,000 MWh annually for 15 years, will cut carbon emissions by about 279,000 metric tons per year. M
