Germany’s independent power producerEncavis AG and Innovar Solar GmbH, a renewable energy developer, have entered into a strategic partnership to develop solar projects across Germany, with a ‘rolling’ capacity of 500 MW. The agreement ensures that new projects will follow if individual ones are successful, maintaining a steady flow of development. Should any project not reach the ready-to-build (RTB) status, others will be initiated, according to the contract. Encavis, whose total generation capacity amounts to around 3.6 GW, currently saves approximately 0.8 million tons of CO2 annually. In addition to the agreement, Encavis has over 1.2 GW of solar capacity under construction, with 900 MW of it owned by the company.
