Emerge collaborates with AJ Steel Pipes for 3 MWp solar PV system in Abu Dhabi

Emerge, a joint venture between Masdar and EDF Group, is set to supply a 3 MW rooftop solar PV plant to AJ Steel Pipes in Abu Dhabi. This project complements COP28 priorities by focusing on reducing hard-to-reduce industries such as steelmaking, contributing to a carbon-free future. The solar power plant will offset and monitor more than 2,500 tonnes of CO2 per year permission to generate more than 5,000 MWh of electricity per year. Furthermore, this is in line with the UAE’s Energy Strategy 2050, which aims to achieve 44% of clean energy in the country’s energy mix by 2050.
