Emeren Group Ltd, a global leader in solar project development, has sold a 42 MWp Ready-to-Build solar project portfolio in Spain to CVE España, a subsidiary of French IPP CVE. This portfolio comprises eight Greenfield projects, developed by Emeren since 2021, with sizes ranging from 5 MW to 6 MW. One project has closed, with the remaining set to close in Q3 2024. The projects will generate 92,792.936 MWh/year of energy, powering 28,360 households and avoiding 20,093.73 tons of CO2 emissions annually. CVE claims this transaction will accelerate its development, tripling its installed capacity in Spain to 65 MWp by late 2025. This expansion aligns with CVE’s strategic goals of producing and selling distributed solar energy through PPAs, meeting corporate energy needs, and contributing to Spain’s renewable energy targets.
