Zelestra, a Spain-based renewable energy developer, has announced the start of full commercial operation at the 33 MW DC Socovos II solar plant in Albacete, Spain. The project has been built and connected by the company’s internal EPC division and forms part of three facilities enabled through a virtual PPA with Graphic Packaging International. Socovos II generates 65 GWh annually, powering around 18,000 homes and avoiding nearly 9,000 tons of CO₂ each year. Related projects include the operational 50 MW DC José Cabrera plant and the upcoming 19 MW DC Villamañán facility. Zelestra’s broader 32 GW portfolio has advanced PV deployment through integrated development and customer-focused agreements.
