China headquartered Trinasolar International Systems Business Unit (ISBU) marked the start of construction for the 60 MW (DC) Mabini Solar Project. The project is located in Barangay San Pedro, Mabini, Pangasinan.Project partners and stakeholders attended the event, including representatives from Zenith Renewable Holdings Corporation, the Board of Investments, and Trinasolar ISBU. The Mabini project is Trinasolar ISBU’s first greenfield development in the Philippines and is scheduled to reach commercial operation by the end of Q3 2026. It is expected to generate about 110.84 GWh of electricity annually supplying power equivalent to more than 24,000 households and reducing around 76,549 tons of COâ‚‚ emissions per year. The project has signed a long-term power purchase agreement with Aboitiz.Trinasolar’s activities in Europe also include its participation in the HoloSolis 5 GW solar gigafactory project in France, expanding its regional manufacturing presence.
