A China based Trinasolar, global provider of photovoltaic (PV) modules, has announced an intention to invest in the HoloSolis photovoltaic gigafactory project in France during the France–China Summit in December 2025. The nearly €1 billion project, designated a French Project of National Interest, was planned with 5 GW annual manufacturing capacity and around 2,000 direct jobs. Trinasolar and HoloSolis signed a strategic cooperation agreement covering project investment, development support, and technical consulting. The agreement followed an earlier technical partnership that granted HoloSolis access to TOPCon solar cell technology. The cooperation aimed to support European photovoltaic manufacturing capacity and cross-regional industrial collaboration.
