Polish developer R.Power Renewables has secured PLN 206.7 million (~$ 57.67 million) in loan financing from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego under Poland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The funding supported construction of the Żary–Marciszów photovoltaic project with capacity of up to 127 MW in western Poland. The project formed part of R.Power Renewables’ plan to expand large-scale renewable generation in the country. The financing agreement was signed under the PLN 7 billion (~$ 1.95 billion) facility dedicated to energy transition investments. Loans for R.Power Renewables and Grupa TAURON were among the first facilities approved within this program.Earlier to this, R.Power Renewables also advanced its German portfolio by starting construction of a 20 MW photovoltaic park in Saxony-Anhalt, reflecting parallel progress across multiple European markets.
