Orrön Energy AB formerly known as Lundin Energy AB has secured grid connections for six large-scale projects in the UK with an estimated combined capacity of about 2.9 GW. The milestone followed the conclusion of the UK grid reform process. The portfolio included three solar projects totaling about 1.8 GW. It also included three data centre projects totaling about 1.1 GW. Land and grid were secured for all six projects. The assets reached the ready-to-permit stage. Binding grid offers were expected in the third quarter of 2026. Divestment options were to be evaluated after final grid agreements. In Germany, three solar projects totaling about 250 MW obtained municipal approvals. A pipeline of battery projects also progressed with land secured. Grid confirmation for these battery assets was expected early this year. In parallel, 310 MW of projects were sold for MEUR 18, subject to development milestones. Orrön Energy AB’s progress in Germany followed earlier portfolio activity, including the sale of a 76 MW agri-photovoltaic project in northeast Germany.
