Orrön Energy AB, a Sweden-based renewable energy company, has entered into an agreement to sell a 76 MW solar project in northeastern Germany to Saxovent Renewables for €4 million (~ $4.57 million). As per Orrön Energy, €2 million (~ 2.28 million) will be paid at closing, with the remaining amount contingent on municipal zoning approval and the EU Commission’s approval of Germany’s Solar Package 1. The project is being developed as an agrivoltaic installation, allowing combined agricultural use and solar power generation. Orrön Energy stated that this transaction aligns with its strategy to monetise early-stage assets from its greenfield portfolio. The closing of the deal is expected imminently, pending the fulfilment of outlined conditions. Orrön Energy has indicated that this is the first of several planned project sales in Germany, one of its core development markets with strong renewable energy demand.
