Octopus Energy, a London-based energy supplier and renewable investor, has announced solar and storage investments in Spain. According to the announcement, three projects will deliver 600 MW of combined solar and storage capacity, projected to supply electricity to 2.3 million homes. The investments were announced at the Government’s UK - Spain Trade and Investment Roundtable in September 2025. As per the disclosure, funding is being deployed through Octopus Energy Generation’s £2 bn (~ $2.74 bn) Sky fund. The investment package includes solar farms in Navarre and Albacete with a combined installed capacity of 100 MW. It also covers a battery storage developer targeting 500 MW of capacity over five years. The disclosure stated that these additions will expand the company’s European renewable energy portfolio to close to 5 GW. Recently, Octopus Renewables has set 113 MW of UK solar and wind assets for minority stake sales.
