Egypt-based IRSC (Integrated Renewable & Sustainable Communities), a renewable energy developer, has signed a 30-year power purchase agreement. The agreement covers financing, construction, and operation of a 27 MW solar power plant in Egypt. Under the agreement, IRSC supplies electricity to El Nahda Industries Company at agreed commercial terms. IRSC’s subsidiary manages financing, engineering, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance of the project. The signing was witnessed by Mohamed Shimi and aligns with Egypt’s renewable energy expansion plans. The arrangement supports compliance with European carbon regulation requirements affecting exports to the European Union. The agreement followed earlier developments, including IRSC signing a 30-year PPA for a PV plant expansion in Egypt with ACC.
