Egypt-based Integrated Renewable & Sustainable Communities (IRSC), a renewable energy developer, has signed a 30-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Arabian Cement Company (ACC). ACC is one of Egypt’s cement producers and will receive renewable electricity under this agreement.The agreement included the development, financing, construction, ownership and operation of the second phase of ACC’s solar power plant. The system aimed to provide cost-effective, reliable electricity without upfront investment. IRSC managed financing, installation, and maintenance. The 17.6 MW solar plant was expected to generate 32.5 GWh annually.This will help ACC reduce its environmental impact.
