Fortis Energy, a global renewable energy investor, has advanced its Ersekë Solar Power Plant project in Albania to the construction phase following formal approval. The project located in Taç-Lartë village in the Kolonjë region, comprised 75 MW DC of solar capacity integrated with a 25 MWh battery energy storage system. It was planned to generate about 135 GWh per year of electricity. Site execution activities had started in coordination with the Albanian Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy. During this phase, Fortis Energy has invited qualified suppliers and contractors to submit inquiries for construction and procurement packages. The requirements had focused on health, safety and environment standards, technical accuracy, and timely project delivery. Earlier to this, Fortis Energy had also upgraded the Oslomej solar plant in North Macedonia, expanding its regional portfolio.
