Enery, an Austria-based renewable developer, has advanced preparations to construct the 750 MW Ogrezeni solar plant outside Bucharest, marking Europe’s largest photovoltaic project to date. The facility includes 534 MW of approved grid capacity and a 534 MW, two-hour battery storage component totaling 1.07 GWh. The initiative builds on Enery’s 54 MW Titu installation and its 167 MW operational portfolio across Romania. Comparable regional projects include developments of 650 MW in Germany, 1.35 GW in Turkey, and 1.04 GW with 500 MW storage in Romania. Forward steps involve concluding final negotiations, commencing construction, and expanding battery integrations across Enery’s national assets. Recently, Enery has acquired the Project Lassie solar portfolio in Slovakia.
