UK headquartered Aura Power has secured project financing for the 49.9 MW Horton Solar Farm in East Devon in December 2025. The project marked the company’s fifth UK solar asset to reach financial close within 14 months. The financing increased Aura Power’s construction portfolio to 298 MW. Of this total, 196 MW was already under construction. Two additional projects were scheduled for financing in early 2026. Horton Solar Farm received unanimous planning approval in June 2023. Once operational, the project was expected to supply electricity to over 12,000 homes annually and avoid more than 11,000 tons of COâ‚‚ emissions each year. Construction was scheduled to start in May 2026. Initial work was planned to include new site access points. ib vogt was appointed as EPC contractor. Rabobank provided senior debt financing. Investec plc supplied junior financing. Prior to this transaction, Aura Power had also secured planning consent for a 30 MW solar farm in Mid Suffolk, reflecting continued progress across its UK development pipeline earlier in the year.
