Arctech and PowerChina Huadong Engineering has signed a cooperation agreement for the 4.2 GW PIF6(Public Investment Fund Round 6) Afif solar project in Saudi Arabia. The development is located near Riyadh, includes two sub-projects—AFIF1 at 1.8 GW and AFIF2 at 2.4 GW. The design outlines the use of SkyLine II trackers, terrain-following layouts and adapted foundations to address high winds, sandstorms and extreme temperatures. The project forms part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 targets and is projected to generate about 9 billion kWh of electricity annually, supplying an estimated 1.5 million households. Arctech has reported securing more than 9 GW of projects in Saudi Arabia since 2025. Recently, Arctech has signed a 1.2 GW tracker agreement with China Energy International Engineering Co., Ltd. for the Faris PV project under Saudi Arabia’s PIF6(Public Investment Fund Round 6) program.
