Alight, a Sweden-based solar energy developer, has acquired two large-scale PV projects in eastern Finland from Finnish developer 3Flash, adding more than 200 MW of planned solar capacity to its portfolio. Following the acquisition, Alight’s large-scale PV and storage development pipeline in Finland now exceeds 1 GW. The portfolio includes a 75 MW project that is targeting grid connection around 2028 and benefits from a nearby Fingrid connection, along with a building permit for a 30 MW BESS. A second project of approximately 150 MW is expected to connect to the transmission grid around 2030 through a planned expansion of a Fingrid substation. Alight and 3Flash will continue to co-develop both projects until they reach ready-to-build status. The companies are also co-developing a 120 MW solar park in Loviisa with a co-located 45 MW BESS. In addition, Alight is planning to commission a 100 MW solar park in Eurajoki during the summer.
