Spain’s renewable energy firm ACCIONA Energía has agreed to sell its stakes in two South African renewable assets totaling 232 MW. The buyer is Cennergi, which valued the transaction at an enterprise value of €255 million. The portfolio includes the 138 MW Gouda wind farm and the 94 MW Sishen solar plant, which were operational since 2015 and 2014. ACCIONA Energía held 55 percent of each project through ACCIONA Energía Internacional, where AXA and Bestinver Infra FCR also participated. The remaining shares were held by Royal Bafokeng Holdings, Soul City, and Community Trust. The sale also covered ACCIONA Energía’s 80 percent stake in the company managing operations and maintenance. The deal is expected to close in 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. Recently, the company has secured the 281 MW GEAP projects in the Philippines.
