ACCIONA Energíaa Spanish renewable energy company, part of the Acciona Group, has received a 20-year supply contract for 281 MW in the Philippines under Round 4 of the GEAP. The contract included the 180 MW Daanbantayan solar project in Cebu, where the construction expected to start before late 2025. It also includes 101 MW Kalayaan 2 wind farm in Laguna, which is already under construction. The agreement has offered long-term certainty for the electricity these assets will deliver. ACCIONA Energía has maintained more than 2 GW of development pipeline in the country. Prior to this, Acciona Energía had commissioned a 412 MW PV plant in Rajasthan.

A 20-year GEAP allocation in the Philippines covered Acciona Energía’s 180 MW Daanbantayan solar project in Cebu and the 101 MW Kalayaan 2 wind farm in Laguna under Round 4.
