Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) received 10 bids for the construction of a 44 MW solar PV power plant at the University of Bahrain campus. The project utilized the university’s car park and open land for ground-mounted and car park solar PV systems, generating approximately 75 GWh of clean energy annually. Bids from eight companies, including Green Innova Trading and Hansa Energy Solutions, were accepted, with two conditional approvals and one suspension. The project, implemented on a turnkey basis, encompassed design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning, with a two-year completion timeline.
