EGENCO launches 10 MW solar plant in Malawi

Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited has initiated the construction and installation of a 10 MW Solar Power Plant in Salima District. The project, costing around USD 14 Million, is expected to be completed in eighteen months. With Chint Electrical Co. spearheading the construction efforts as the contractor, the electricity generated will integrate into the national grid via ESCOM’s Nanjoka Substation.
