EDF Renewables North America has signed a 20-year PPA with SCPPA for a portion of the Bonanza Solar and Storage project in Clark County, Nevada. The 125 MW PV system and 65 MW 4-hour storage will deliver carbon-free electricity to SCPPA’s members from December 31, 2028. The project, located on federal land, aims to generate 300 MW PV and 195 MW 4-hour storage, creating around 500 jobs during peak construction. The Bonanza project takes SCPPA’s portfolio of renewable energy projects to over 3,000 MW.
