US-headquartered EDF Renewables North America announced the commercial operation of the Huck Finn Solar project in December 2024. Developed for Ameren Missouri, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation, the project is a 200 MW (AC) / 270 MW(DC) solar energy center. Located in Audrain and Ralls Counties, it is the largest solar initiative by Ameren Missouri. Huck Finn Solar created over 500 jobs during peak construction and is projected to generate $14 million in local community revenue throughout its operational life. At full capacity, it will power over 37,000 homes, bolstering the local energy grid and reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources.
