PCL Construction, an independent construction company group, has secured the EPC contract for Great Bend Solar, a 48 MW solar project in Meigs County, Ohio, developed by Doral Renewables. It’s PCL’s third solar EPC project in Ohio and 16th in the U.S. Once operational, Great Bend Solar will generate 92,514 MWh annually, powering about 9,200 households and reducing 62,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions yearly. The project involves installing a photovoltaic panel array, substation, and switchyard infrastructure. Scheduled to begin this summer, the project aims to create 200 local jobs and involves collaboration with local subcontractors. Upon completion, PCL’s total US solar EPC portfolio will exceed 2 GW, capable of powering 500,000 households and businesses.
