Dominican Republic to build 60 MW solar park in Nagua

The Dominican Government, through the National Energy Commission (CNE), has signed a definitive concession contract with LCV Ecoener Solares Dominicana, S.R.L . The agreement is to construct and operate the Payita 2 Photovoltaic Solar Park in Nagua, María Trinidad Sánchez province by the two companies. The project will have an installed peak capacity of 60.04 MW and a nominal capacity of 49.98 MW. It will integrate an advanced energy storage system with a capacity of 15 MW and 60 MWh, allowing energy to be stored during peak production and supplied during high demand or low solar generation periods.
