Macquarie invests $1.725B in DESRI’s PV, wind, battery projects

Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) has signed an agreement with D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) to invest up to $1.725 billion in DESRI, acquiring a minority stake. This investment, made through several MAM-managed funds, will support DESRI’s expansion of solar, wind, and battery storage projects across the US. DESRI currently operates over 6 GW of renewable energy projects and has a 25 GW development pipeline. Macquaries says the partnership aligns with its commitment to clean energy and complements its existing 12 GW of global operational capacity.
