Daystar Power, a leading solar energy provider, commissioned a 4.3 MW grid-tied solar system at Rider Steel’s Kumasi factory, Ghana’s largest steel producer. It consists of 7,524 PV modules on the rooftop, reducing 49,900 tons of CO2 emissions over 20 years;. Rider Steel aims to source 20% of its electricity sustainably. The project marks Ghana’s largest distributed solar power initiative for industrial use, showcasing solar’s viability for heavy industry and grid integration.
