At RE+ 2024, Singapore-based Maxeon Solar Technologies announced a collaboration with US-based Cypress Creek Renewables, a key solar and storage developer. As per Maxeon, Cypress Creek selected its solar panels for several critical power plant projects across the US. The largest of them, the Zier Hybrid Solar Site in Brackettville, Texas, began commercial operations in May, generating 208 MW from over 383,000 Maxeon Performance panels. This site can power more than 41,000 homes annually. Maxeon claims this partnership’s success extends to other projects in New York and Washington. At RE+, Maxeon is showcasing its advanced IBC and Performance 7 panels. These panels featuring high-efficiency TOPCon cell technology, offer improved aesthetics, bifacial energy production, and exceptional high-temperature performance, backed by a 30-year warranty, says Maxeon.
