Cypress Creek Renewables has inaugurated its largest hybrid facility, Zier, in Brackettville, Texas, boasting 208 MW of PV capacity. This can power over 41,600 Texas homes annually, supported by 80 MWh of battery storage integrated into the ERCOT grid. A ribbon-cutting event in Kinney County marked the facility's commercial operation on May 2, 2024. The project is projected to generate significant tax revenue, including $11.5 million for the county and $11.7 million for the Bracket Independent School District. Backed by EQT Partners and financed by partners like the North American Development Bank, Cypress Creek, with its roots in Texas since 2014, operatesnearly 1GW of projects statewide and has a 6 GW pipeline, including a 100 MWh battery storage project in Rosenberg nearing completion.
