Cuamba Solar Plant begins commercial operation

Globeleq, Source Energia, and EDM have initiated the commercial operations at Mozambique’s first hybrid pv and energy storage plant, Cuamba Solar. This $36 million 19 MW PV and 7 MWh storage project, supported by a 25-year PPA, is set to provide energy for 22,000 families and reduce over 172,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. The initiative receives financing from PIDG and BII Plus.
