Clearway Energy commissions 2 Solar+Storage projects in California

Clearway Energy Group has announced the commissioning of the Victory Pass and Arica solar and storage projects in Riverside County, California. Together, they boast a capacity of 463 MW solar and 186 MW storage, capable of powering 205,000 homes. Eight long-term customers have committed to procuring clean energy from these projects. Victory Pass has contracts with Silicon Valley Clean Energy and Central Coast Community Energy, while Arica is contracted with Clean Power Alliance, Peninsula Clean Energy, MCE, Southern California Edison, and PepsiCo. Representing a $1 billion investment, these projects are expected to contribute $25.8 million in taxes over their lifespan, supporting local services. During construction, they created 1,000 union jobs, with a permanent workforce to follow. Clearway’s presence in Riverside County now includes over 1.2 GW of operating renewable and storage assets across multiple projects.
