China -headquartered LONGi Solar has finalized a deal to supply over 100 MW of Hi-MO 9 modules for a utility-scale solar project across Latin America. The project was led by LONGi’s European team and featured BC technology with up to 24.8% module efficiency. It aimed to support energy yield, grid stability, and regional decarbonization. The Hi-MO 9 modules had back contact design, anti-PID and anti-LID features, and a 30-year performance guarantee. The system was expected to lower LCOE by 7–9% and offset over 120,000 tons of CO₂ annually. It also complied with biodiversity protection measures and was expected to power around 60,000 homes. Recently, LONGi has achieved 34.85% efficiency in crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells.
