China-based AIKO, a global new energy technology company, has announced multiple utility-scale agreements during Intersolar Europe 2025 with partners in Europe and other regions. CrossBoundary Energy selected AIKO to supply 225 MW of Stellar series modules for the Kamoa Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The agreements reflected AIKO’s growing presence in the global utility segment and the rising demand for BC (Back Contact) technology. The Kamoa Project aimed to provide a 30 MW dispatchable renewable baseload energy supply to a major copper mine, replacing diesel use and reducing annual emissions by around 78,750 tons. It represented the largest BC deployment in Africa and supported high-performance off-grid applications in the mining sector. Green Line Energy also signed a 340 MW module supply agreement with AIKO during Intersolar Europe 2025 expanding AIKO’s utility-scale footprint.
