China-headquartered Trinasolar has signed an MoU with Solaris Energy (Pvt) Ltd. to supply 25MW solar modules in Sri Lanka. The agreement was formalized at SNEC 2025 in Shanghai. Trinasolar’s Vertex N modules, based on i-TOPCon technology, were selected for their high efficiency. These modules are suited for Sri Lanka’s tropical climate and national grid requirements. Solaris Energy is set to nominate Trinasolar as a subcontractor for utility-scale projects, pending final agreements. The partnership aims to support Sri Lanka’s energy transition with advanced, reliable PV infrastructure. The MoU was signed by Trinasolar’s Todd Li and Solaris CEO T. Thiriyambagan. The collaboration combines Trinasolar’s global technology with Solaris’s local market expertise. This marks a strategic move to strengthen clean energy deployment across Sri Lanka with proven module performance.The Solaris Energy partnership builds on Trinasolar’s proven performance, including UL Solutions’ 95.2% efficiency verification for its China project.
