SUNOTEC, headquartered in Sofia and Munich and specializing in solar EPC, has announced the launch of SUNOTEC Nordic to expand large-scale solar and hybrid renewable energy projects in the Nordic region. SUNOTEC has already delivered 4 GW of solar capacity in Denmark, which was identified as a favorable starting point due to its supportive policy framework, ambitious climate goals, and mature grid infrastructure. SUNOTEC has completed more than 650 deployments with 11 GW of installed capacity, representing an 11% share of Europe’s large-scale solar construction market. The new entity, SUNOTEC Nordic is structured to provide a full turnkey model including EPC, commissioning, operations, and maintenance. SUNOTEC has also highlighted the growing significance of BESS in the Nordic regions, citing its role in grid stabilization, peak shaving, and flexible energy supply. SUNOTEC has recently acquired a 400 MW Latvian solar and storage project to its portfolio early this year, complementing its wider European expansion plans.
