SUNOTEC, a European solar solutions provider, has acquired 100% of SIA DSE Lazas Solar from Danish Sun Energy ApS. The project includes a 400 MW solar park and 600 MWh BESS in Latvia. It is based in Cīrava Rural Territory, Lazas parish, Dienvidkurzeme Municipality. The site received Ready-to-Build permits in June 2025. Construction of the plant is set to begin by end-2025. A 330 kV substation near Padure is scheduled for construction starting July 2025. The park is expected to be grid-connected by March 2027. It will use single-axis trackers, boosting output by 11% annually. The estimated cost is up to €245 million(~$287.13 million). Danish Sun Energy had earlier sold a 265 MW project to Latvenergo in 2024. Sorainen, KPMG Latvia, and OurNewEnergy advised on the deal.
