Sembcorp Industries, through its unit Sembcorp Solar Singapore, has been awarded an 86 MWfloating solar project on Pandan Reservoir by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency. This is its third floating solar project in Singapore. In 2021, Sembcorp completed the 60 MW Tengeh Reservoir project, then among the largest floating solar farms globally. Earlier in 2025, it signed a 25-year deal with Malkoha Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Meta Platforms, to develop a 150 MW floating solar system on Kranji Reservoir. According to Sembcorp, floating solar is critical for Singapore’s land-scarce energy landscape and must meet environmental standards. The company has over 1 GW of solar and 300 MWh of storage in Singapore. Globally, its renewable energy capacity stands at 18.9 GW.Earlier this year, Sembcorp also bagged a 50 MW round-the-clock renewable project from SECI in India, further expanding its diversified clean energy portfolio.
