Q Energy & Velto unveil 74.3 MW FPV in Haute-Marne

Berlin, Germany-headquartered QEnergy and Velto Renewables, a European independent power producer, have inaugurated Les Îlots Blandin in Perthes, Haute-Marne. It is Europes largest floating solar park with a capacity of 74.3MW. The plant is located on 127 hectares of former gravel pits. Over 135,000 solar panels were mounted on water using French float technology. It is expected to supply power to 37,000 people annually and cut 18,000 tonnes of CO. QEnergy initiated the project in 2019, with construction starting in September 2023. The site was commissioned in June 2025 after several design revisions. A 2MW onshore unit was added to boost generation. Velto Renewables acquired half the project in early 2025. QEnergy had secured over 50 million in funding. Partners include Solutions30, Ciel & Terre, and Perpetum.QEnergy and Velto Renewables, who also inaugurated the La Gineste solar project, have now commissioned Les Îlots Blandin in Haute-Marne.
