Italy-based Plenitude, a company controlled by Eni, and Marelli have signed an agreement to build three photovoltaic plants totaling 5.4 MW at Marelli’s sites in Melfi, Sulmona, and Turin. The projects are being developed under an EPC model, allowing Marelli to access renewable energy at a fixed cost without upfront investment. At the Melfi site, a 999 kW Energy Community has been designed under the AID configuration to enable shared energy use with a neighboring company. The plant is set to receive 20-year state incentives, with part of the funds allocated to local social initiatives. Plenitude is managing the design, construction, incentive process, and monitoring using its “Plenitude ComunitàEnergetiche” platform. The Sulmona and Turin plants have capacities of 4 MW and 400 kW, respectively, and are expected to support energy cost reduction.Plenitude’s agreement with Marelli follows its recent stake acquisition in the Sandrini solar project alongside EDPR, further expanding its renewable energy portfolio in Italy.
