Italy-headquartered Plenitude, a company controlled by Eni, has started building the 200 MW Entrenúcleos solar park in Andalusia, Spain. The project is located between Dos Hermanas and Coria del Río, covering over 300 hectares. It includes four solar plants of 50 MW each, with 326,000 panels installed. The plant is expected to produce over 435 GWh of energy annually. It will connect to the national grid through the Entrenúcleos and REE substations in Dos Hermanas. Solarig is managing construction, using “green steel” structures made in Spain. Vegetation screens and habitat measures for endangered birds are planned. Plenitude has two other plants under construction in Andalusia. Its total renewable capacity in Spain is 1,300 MW, with a 2 GW project pipeline.Prior to this project, Plenitude had already added a 130MW solar plant to Spain’s grid, marking steady progress in its renewable expansion.
